How about we try a "Recent Pickups" in this section, as not much entered into a single month. Let's see what else is out there...

In a Boxing mood, I guess. Just arrived in the mail today. A full set of 1938 Churchman's, including (among others) Baer, Johnson, Louis, Dempsey, Schmeling, and Tunney.

If you followed wresting in Quebec in the sixties and early seventies, you might also recognize the name "Carpentier".

The last couple of sheets, and a sampling of the backs, in case you would like to see those.

That's gotta be one of the rarest Ruth autos out there. Full name in bold letters.

Those 1938 Churchmen's are lovely cards. Good presentation on the obverse. And nice typography and layout on the reverse.

More pickups from the Summit Show in Edmonton.

.Completed my 1959 and 1965 CFL sets, in high grade. That Mosca RC took me a while to find a decent one at a decent price.

Three cards away from completing a mid-grade 1958 set. And after "completing" the 1962 set in panels about a year ago, where I have at least one of every card from the set, I decided to continue on and pursue a "Master" set. I believe that will be a lifelong quest. If anyone has any 1962's in panels they would like to trade or sell, please contact me.

I recently got this Dr. J rookie card in a trade. This is a pretty popular basketball card and probably in the top 5. Also, finding this card with good centering is extremely difficult!

Jim, they are cool. Brought memories back to me. 60-70's vintage box art from 72th scale Revell model kits.

Now I'm one common card away from completing my Ex-Mt 1958 CFL Set.

She also got me these as part of her gift, plus a few hockey cards too:

                      Apologies for the duplicate post.

Here is another addition I got a bit ago off eBay. Photo from eBay. Been looking for one of these for a bit, as they are not too plentiful. Plus I like the way it predates the 1938 Goudy RC by two years.

Excellent investment! This card and his 1937 O-Pee-Chee are my favorites. I think his 1938 Goudey Rookie looks UGLY!

Are you going to be sending this card in for grading? If so, let us know what it grades. Cheers.
