  • December Pick Ups

Picked up a nice Bobby Orr Fan Club package, just missing the photo but the Membership is unsigned which is always nice. Love the mail away premium items in the booklet.

I used to own that certificate, but then I later learned that it was a counterfeit. Some loser printed it on his color printer. Of course, the one that Bobby owns is legit because it comes with the whole fan club package.

It just amazes me how people even take the time to fake the cheap stuff. You have to be so careful what you buy these days.

Picked up a nice lot that included the last 5 I needed to finally complete 1952-53 bas du fleuve. Still looking for #18 Gaetan Laliberte in any condition to finish 1951-52 bas du fleuve.

Gorgeous sweater of an underrated player who should probably be in the Hall, given who is in.

I am not sure if any of these kids went on to the NHL or not..There is one kid A.Kane Just wondering if
that may have been Patrick Kane father or even grandfather. This was Ferguson's rookie year.

I picked up the 1956-57 Montreal Canadiens Media Guide. I now have all Canadiens media guides from 1952-53 till present day. Compare the 1956-57 guide which was 30 pages to the 2018-19 guide which is 650 pages and is only available in digital format (no printed version but nicer graphics).

Interesting to note that Quebec Citadelles set seemed to have been distributed by Laiterie Chalifoux (based on the business card), a dairy located in Sorel-Tracy (quite far from Quebec City and closer to Montreal). Was Vega a brand of them?

          • #13
I thought the same thing and spent some time looking online, but couldn't find any brand or product line that used the Vega name or mark.

For the record- Dixon hockey pencil

I collect these pencils and for the longest time I never knew this one existed, Larry Cahan- Toronto, I have never seen it listed in anyone’s guide but noticed it in an abay ad last week. I bid on it and won 79 dollars CDN ,so happy too add it to my collection and let others know. Still looking for the two Montreal goalies if anyone has them for sale.

Montreal goalies are McNeil and Plante. How many different Montreal pencils do you have?

                That's a toughie, congratulations.
It was a part of my entire wrapper collection that I sold to another collector about a year ago.
            Working...
