The Howe has nice centering and colors. The black ink found on this card is also strong (a lot of them are usually faded).

That Shore is drool-worthy. I have not seen a blue one in a while (I have seen quite a few green ones).

Here is a nice acquisition today. 1938-39 signed Stanley Cup Playoff mini sticks of the Toronto Maple Leafs crossed with Boston Bruins. This was from Gus Markers collection sold over 20 years ago

I picked up a few group A Bee Hives this week.No none special. But in pretty nice condition. But part of the 30 Bee Hive hockey photo lot was a bit of advertisement for various items available through the mail.So here are a few scans of some of the advertising.I also have a return envelope and a couple other pieces.I will be making a second post because there was also a few nice cards that I think deserve their own post.I will not bother to scan all the Bee Hive photos. But in short here is a list of who I got.

                Nick Metz
                George Parsons
                Billy Taylor
                Bobby Bauer
                Woody Dumart
                Rudolph Kampman
                Turk Broda
                Eddie Shore
                Johnny Crawford

So as per my last post.I also picked up a few 1940-41 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards.I thought these were all in pretty nice shape so I thought why not.I have been away from the hockey collecting for almost 2 years.Trying to focus on collecting non sport. But when these items were offered at what I thought was a reasonable price I said why not pick them up.

I love this set, and the 39-40. Just need a 40-41 Broda (#130) to complete.

A nicely centered high number checklist. I am still looking for the corrected version.
