  • RIP RED FISHER

Red Fisher, the chronicler and the conscience of Montreal hockey whose career touched seven decades, died on Friday at age 91.

Mr. Fisher's memoir "Hockey; Heroes, and Me" is an interesting, inside look at the hockey world according to Red, especially for Canadiens' fans. Easy to read and funny too.
    RIP Red Fisher.

Always remember Hockey Night in Canada's tonight's three stars as presented by Mr Red Fisher of the Gazette. So many stories. Red will be missed.

He started with the Montreal Star. When the Star closed, he moved to the Gazette.

For years, I read his stories in the paper with great interest. A reporter / journalist, who commanded as much respect from the players and the players now demand from the press. That type of respect and relationship between team / players and journalist will never be repeated.

RIP Red. You've left a lot of us with some tremendous memories.
