  • Why waste a good pose?

    In pre-Photoshop days the artists of the time had no problem dealing with player trades. Team change or uniform change? Don't have an up-to-date photo? No problem - just paint in a new uniform as needed. We've seen this many times before, but while looking through images of Frank Finnigan, I couldn't help notice the recurring pose. There are plenty of other examples out there as well.

                        This method of "updating" goes all the way back to the infancy of hockey cards. There are lots of examples. here are a couple more of my favorites for those who enjoy it:
