It's official: The C55 Georges Vezina has been dethroned! The new king of prewar hockey is now the V145-1 Howie Morenz!

Scarcity is the only reason the Corbeau carries the value it does. If it was not intentionally short printed, the card would basically be a common. The Morenz card is rising in value based on demand.

Does that really matter? The discussion is not about why it sells for what it does.

I think a PSA 5 SWEET CAPS Vezina would sell for more than 20K USD

Agree with you ron. Anish you probably talk c55 recently sold. A sweet cap postcard of vezina in psa 5 will fetch easy 20k

Hmmm...I wonder. Possibly. But now that we are taking a fresh look at vintage as a hobby, how about some proper love for the cheap as borscht 1933 Bill Cook rookies? Or an appropriate price point for all-time superstar Joe Malone? Earle Seibert needs a fresh look too.

Probably a good topic for a new thread

        Isn't Cook's RC in 1923 Paulin's?

This is not even a trading card and shouldn't be included in this discussion.
